We aim to ensure that the information published on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, website content is provided for general information and may be changed, updated or removed without notice.

Descriptions of services on the website do not necessarily constitute an offer to provide a particular service.

The availability, scope and suitability of any service will be discussed with the customer before work begins.

5. Enquiries and Quotations

Customers may contact NND Construction to discuss a proposed project and request a quotation.

Our enquiry process may involve providing information such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Project or property address
  • Service required
  • Estimated start date
  • Details of the proposed project

As described on our website, our general process is:

  1. Tell Us About Your Project
  2. Discuss Your Requirements
  3. Receive Your Quote
  4. Schedule the Work
  5. Complete the Project

A quotation will be based on the information and requirements available to us at the time.

A quotation does not automatically mean that NND Construction has accepted an instruction to commence work.

Work will only be scheduled once the relevant requirements have been discussed and agreed.

6. Scope of Work

Before work begins, we will discuss the requirements and intended scope of the project with the customer.

The agreed scope may include details such as:

  • The nature of the work.
  • Areas or parts of the property affected.
  • Materials or finishes where applicable.
  • Expected project requirements.
  • Scheduling arrangements.
  • The agreed price or quotation.
  • Any other conditions specifically agreed between the parties.

If additional work is requested after the original scope has been agreed, this may be treated as additional work and may require a revised quotation or agreement.

7. Quotations and Pricing

Any quotation provided by NND Construction will be based on the information available and the scope of work discussed with the customer.

Where circumstances change, including changes to the requested work or unforeseen conditions at the property, we may need to review the quotation.

Additional work should be discussed and agreed before it is undertaken wherever reasonably practicable.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a quotation or written agreement, website service descriptions should not be interpreted as fixed-price offers.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information that may reasonably be required for us to assess and carry out the proposed work.

Customers should:

  • Provide reasonable access to the property where required.
  • Provide accurate project and property information.
  • Inform us of known issues or conditions that may affect the work.
  • Ensure that areas requiring work are reasonably accessible.
  • Obtain any permissions or consents that are the customer’s responsibility, where applicable.
  • Follow reasonable instructions relating to access, safety and the work area.

Where access or information required to carry out the agreed work is not available, this may affect the timing or completion of the project.

9. Property Access

Where work is to be carried out at a property, the customer must provide appropriate access at the agreed times.

If access is unavailable or substantially restricted, the project may need to be rescheduled.

Any resulting additional costs or delays will be considered according to the circumstances and the terms agreed for the individual project.

10. Planning Permissions and Other Approvals

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for obtaining any planning permissions, landlord approvals, building approvals, permits or other permissions that are required for their project.

Customers should inform NND Construction of any restrictions, conditions or approvals that may affect the proposed work.

Where appropriate, we may advise customers that they should obtain professional or specialist advice before work begins.

11. Materials and Finishes

Where materials, products, colours or finishes are selected for a project, the customer should ensure that the selections are suitable for the intended application.

Where a particular product or material is requested by the customer, availability may affect the project schedule.

If a requested material becomes unavailable, we may discuss an appropriate alternative with the customer.

12. Changes to the Project

Customers may request changes to the agreed scope of work.

A requested change may affect:

  • The project price.
  • The materials required.
  • The estimated completion time.
  • The sequence of work.
  • The availability of labour or other resources.

Where a change materially affects the project, we may provide a revised quotation or request agreement before proceeding.

13. Project Timescales

We will discuss scheduling and expected project timing with the customer.

Any estimated start or completion date should be treated as an estimate unless a specific date has been expressly agreed in writing.

Project timing may be affected by circumstances including:

  • Changes to the scope of work.
  • Customer-requested changes.
  • Availability of materials.
  • Access to the property.
  • Site conditions.
  • Weather conditions where relevant.
  • Delays caused by third parties.
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

We will aim to communicate significant delays where reasonably practicable.

14. Workmanship

NND Construction aims to provide professional construction, painting, property maintenance, property improvement and building cleaning services with attention to detail and a professional finish.

We will carry out agreed services with reasonable care and skill.

The final appearance or outcome of certain works may be affected by the condition of the existing property, surfaces, materials and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

15. Existing Property Conditions

Before or during work, existing defects, deterioration, structural issues, damp, damage, unsuitable surfaces or other conditions may become apparent.

Where such conditions affect the agreed work, we may discuss the issue with the customer and explain any necessary changes to the proposed work.

Additional remedial work may require a revised quotation.

16. Health and Safety

NND Construction will take reasonable steps to carry out work in a safe and professional manner.

Customers must inform us of any known hazards, restrictions or unusual conditions at the property that could reasonably affect the work.

Customers should keep children, pets and unauthorised persons away from active work areas where appropriate.

We may temporarily restrict access to areas where work is taking place where this is reasonably necessary for safety.

17. Damage to Property

We will take reasonable care when carrying out our services.

However, certain construction, renovation, painting, maintenance or cleaning activities may involve unavoidable risks to existing finishes or items, particularly where existing materials are old, damaged, fragile or in poor condition.

Customers should remove or secure valuable, fragile or personal belongings from work areas where reasonably possible.

Where we identify a significant risk to existing property, we may discuss the matter with the customer before proceeding.

18. Payment

Payment arrangements, prices and any applicable payment schedule will be communicated to the customer as part of the quotation, agreement or invoice for the relevant project.

Customers are responsible for making payments in accordance with the agreed payment terms.

If payment is not made when due, we may, where legally permitted:

  • Request payment of outstanding amounts.
  • Suspend further work.
  • Reschedule outstanding work.
  • Take appropriate steps to recover amounts due.

Any applicable interest, recovery costs or other charges will only be applied where permitted by law and/or expressly agreed.

19. Cancellation and Consumer Rights

Where a customer is a consumer, applicable UK consumer protection laws may provide rights relating to contracts for services, including certain cancellation rights in circumstances where those rights apply.

The customer’s legal rights are not affected by these Terms.

Where work is arranged away from our business premises or concluded online or by telephone, additional statutory requirements may apply.

If you wish to cancel or change an agreed service, please contact us as soon as possible:

Email: info@nndconstruction.com
Telephone: 07867023428

Any cancellation will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and UK consumer law.

20. Defects or Concerns About Completed Work

If you believe there is an issue with work we have completed, please contact us promptly and provide reasonable details of the concern.

Where appropriate, we may inspect the relevant work and discuss a suitable resolution.

Customers should give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, rectify an issue before arranging for another contractor to carry out remedial work, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent further damage or protect health and safety.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any statutory rights that consumers may have.

21. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Breach of legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, we will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where permitted by law, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant agreement was entered into.

22. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We will not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather.
  • Flooding.
  • Fire.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Government restrictions.
  • Industrial disputes.
  • Major supply-chain disruption.
  • Unavailability of essential materials.
  • Serious site access problems.
  • Other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.

Where such circumstances occur, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate with the customer where appropriate.
